“His name shall be called… Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
Don’t just say the Name. Don’t just pray the Name. Every time you use the Name, you want to make a withdrawal.
Peace is God’s Name. In fact, he is the Prince of Peace. This means that all the inner tranquility, belonging, and wellbeing that you long for deep inside, is in God. The fact that he has revealed his Name to you as Peace indicates that he wants to give you the genuine, internal certainty of well-being. He wants you to withdraw your peace from his Peace.
Prince is a title given not only to a leader but to a military leader. Prince of Peace indicates that Jesus wars against everything that would disrupts your peace. This Prince sovereignly negotiates everything needed to contribute to your peace.
As God manifests himself to you today as Prince of Peace, it does not mean that all your challenging circumstances will disappear, but it does mean that Christ will show himself greater than your circumstances, and manifest himself within the flow of your life.
Say it with me, the Prince of Peace is greater than my circumstances.
Loving Father, today I declare over the circumstances of my life that Jesus is the Prince of Peace.
