“Freely you have received, freely give,” but what about when God asks you to give before you feel you’ve received?

We love the intimate names of God like Friend, Shepherd, Immanuel, God with us.

The words from Mathew 10:8 remind us of the generosity and kindness of our Heavenly Father. We have received so much from Him - forgiveness, love, salvation, and eternal life. Jesus freely gives to each of us so much. 

A good counselor is a good listener, who asks good questions, who accepts people unconditionally,

At the end of the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus emphasizes the importance of forgiveness. and to some, their consternation, that He was the fulfillment of this promise.

The magnetic attraction of Christian community is not the songs you sing, the car you drive, or the color of your skin.
