Hallow the Name

January 5, 2026

“Hallowed be your name.” Matthew 6:9

Hallow your Name is the heart of worship. All worship is responding appropriately to the Name. You can effectively worship without music, but it is impossible to effectively worship without the Name.

When Jesus instructed his disciples how to pray appropriately, the first request he included in his model prayer was hallowed be your Name.

Hallow is the Greek word hagiazo, which means to consecrate, to set apart, to venerate, esteem and honor above all things.

Today Christ gives you authorization to honor his Name above all things, and to ask Him to honor his Name with you.

This is the heart of worship. This is a way of life

As you pray, Lord teaches us to pray, also pray, Lord teaches to pray your Name.
