The Lord My Refuge

August 14, 2026 

"I love you, O LORD... in whom I take refuge."  Psalm 18:2

A refuge is not just a sheltered place of protection from predators, but a nurturing place where you can thrive.

What a perfect name of God. Refuge. 

Jesus is a safe place, a shelter where you find protection from danger, trouble, or distress. Jesus is also your nourishment, your food, and your constant source of love, comfort, and encouragement.

Endangered species need a refuge where they are protected from predators, and also where they can receive an abundance of food and nourishment. 

A refuge allows every living creature to thrive.

As God's child, God wants you to thrive.

Take Christ today as your Refuge. 

Step into Christ your Refuge and you will thrive.

Jesus, I take you now as my Refuge. In you I am protected. In you I thrive. In you I grow into maturity and I reach my full potential--I become the person you destined me to be.
