“Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Acts 2:21
When you are at your lowest point, when it feels like you have nowhere to turn and you have exhausted your last ounce of strength, you still have one place you can turn- just call on the Name.
Calling on the Name may sound simplistic, but I promise you, it is not. Don’t for a minute underestimate the power of the Name. And you certainly don't need to overly complicate it
The words, “everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,” were first spoken to unbelievers who were desperately asking how they could be forgiven by God and saved from his judgement. If you do not know for certain that when you die you will go to heaven, I give you the Name of Jesus. Call on him now and you will be saved. It is just that simple. Guaranteed.
If you have already received salvation in the Name, but you are currently facing a life crisis, I give you the Name. Jesus offers his Name to those who recognize they cannot help themselves, regardless of what it is from which they need salvation.
From what do you need salvation-- anger, sexual brokenness, addiction, loneliness, emptiness, financial hardship, moral failure, spiritual baroness, despair?
Regardless how dark your circumstances, the Name is greater. Call on his name now and you will be saved.
Loving Father, I admit my helplessness and my despair, and I grab hold of the Name. I call on your Name, save me now.
