Risk Takers

January 26, 2026

“Paul and Barnabas, men who have risked their lives for the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Acts 15:26

Name carriers become risk takers.

Barnabas and Paul were ordinary people who did extraordinary things for God for one reason—the Name. They were willing to risk their reputations, their security, their very lives, because of the Name. The Name conquered every other ambition, every idol, and every fear. The Name became their treasure, their love, their life. Nothing threatened them because no one could take from them the one thing that gave them significance—the Name.

Carefully consider this sequence of questions.

Has the Name become everything to you?

Has the Name exposed the idols of your heart and conquered them?

Has the Name delivered you from fear?

Does the Name give you significance and fulfillment in life?

The Name of God is the Presence of God, and the Presence is the only source that has the right to define you.

When the Name conquers every rival ambition in your soul, you too will become a fearless, kingdom risk taker.

Father God, I cast down idols and every lofty ambition inside of me that sets itself against the Name. Today I take the Name.
