Preach the Name

January 25, 2026

“So he went in and out among them at Jerusalem, preaching boldly in the name of the Lord.” Acts 9:28

When the Name forcefully overtakes you, it conquers your fears and frees you to be a truth-teller, or preacher.

You may not see yourself as a preacher- most people don't. Preacher is a title that carries a dumpster full of baggage that we all reject. But when you peel off the baggage, preaching is nothing more than Holy Spirit empowered truth-telling. Preaching is what happens to your conversations when your fears are gone, and you are free to clearly communicate the convictions on the inside.

Paul became a truth-teller quickly, soon after his radical conversion for one reason- the Name conquered his heart and conquered his fears.

Think about it- Paul went out... preaching boldly in the name of the Lord almost immediately after his conversion. The reason for this transformation is simple- when Paul became a Christian, he didn’t join a religion, or put his name on a church roster. He was conquered by the Name. When Paul asked, “who are you, Lord?” the response came, “I am Jesus” (Acts 9:5).

Have you been conquered by the Name?

The proof that the Name has conquered you is when the Name conquers your fear of rejection, fear of failure, and your fear of man.

That one Name, Jesus, destroyed every other ambition in Paul’s soul. He was conquered immediately by the Name.

When the Name conquers your soul, the Name will conquer your fear, and you too will become a truth-teller.

Loving Father, conquer my soul today in Jesus Name, and deliver me from all my fears. Make me as bold as a lion.
