Orphan Spirit - Expose It

February 9, 2026

“I will not leave you as orphans." John 14:18

Jesus identified the orphan spirit to his disciples for the sake of the name--for the sake of Father.

It is important to recognize that the orphan spirit is the antithesis of the Father.

Father loves you. Welcomes you. Accepts you. He will not leave you or forsake you. He is abundant and generous. Healing. Forgiving. Freeing. Praying.

The orphan spirit on the other hand is a hateful spirit. It is the spirit of rejection. Abandonment. It is an impoverished spirit; stingy and unforgiving. And at its root, it is the source of prayerlessness.

Oddly, the orphan spirit is a religious spirit. It attends prayer meetings--all kinds of prayer meetings. Christian prayer meetings. Pentecostal prayer meetings. Catholic prayer meetings. Methodist and Baptist prayer meetings. Muslim prayer meetings. Buddhist prayer meetings. And even private prayer meetings.

But don't be fooled--the orphan spirit is a prayer meeting disruptor. It attacks true prayer with a counterfeit substitute. It hates true prayer because it hates Father.

Keep in mind, the devil is an orphan and father of orphans. He has nothing to offer his children other than his own orphan spirit.

Just as Jesus revealed the orphan spirit to his disciples, the Holy Spirit is revealing the orphan spirit to you now. He's doing it to set you free.

Loving Father, thank you for adopting me as your son (daughter). You love me with an everlasting love. And thank you for exposing the unrighteous orphan spirit. I reject that spirit now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
