“I will not leave you as orphans, but I will come to you." John 14:18
We must expose the orphan spirit for the sake of the name--for the sake of Father.
When Jesus identified the orphan spirit to his disciples, he not only exposed it, he contrasted it with himself. He said, I will not leave you as orphans, but I will come to you.
Contrasting the orphan spirit with the Father is a striking distinction.
Orphan Spirit Father
Rejection Acceptance
Curse Blessing
Hatred Love
Insecurity Security
Prayerlessness Prayerfullness
Anxiety Peace
Fear Confidence
Jesus came so you can call God Father, and he can call you son (or daughter).
The orphan spirit comes to lie to you and tell you that God is not your Father and that you are not his son (or daughter). The contrast is clear.
Accept the words of Jesus, but I will come to you.
Christ is here today to lead you to the Father. He will not leave you as orphans.
Loving Father, thank you for adopting me as son (or daughter). Thank you for the security of my salvation. Loving Father, reparent me now in Jesus name.
