Not A Popularity Contest

October 1, 2026

"The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed." Psalm 2:2

Our God is not running a popularity contest. Jesus is not campaigning to be the next Messiah.

The anti-Christ will be a winsome, charming leader who will deceive the nations and win the popularity contest. He will even be momentarily crowned messiah. Disgusting.

Christ, the Anointed, the Messiah of God, on the other hand, is the stone that makes the nations stumble. Because of arrogant rebellion, masses of humanity and their kings will set themselves against the authentic Christ.

If you are aligned with Christ, do yourself a favor and don't try to win any popularity contests. If you follow Christ, you will win in the end, but you will likely face ridicule in the meantime. No big deal. It's an honor to suffer for Christ.

While others rail against Christ, the Anointed, it is your privilege to exalt Christ. To honor his name. While others set themselves against Christ, set yourself in alignment with Christ.

Jesus, you are the Christ, the Anointed of God. I align myself to you, spirit, soul, and body. I choose to love and obey you and you alone.
