Glory Where Glory Is Due

September 23, 2026 

"Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength! Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name." 1 Chronicles 16:28-29

You have no higher calling than ministering to the name of God. 

Everyday when you get out of bed, regardless of what other assignments you have, or what duties are on your to-do list, you have no more important task, no higher calling than to minister to the name of the Lord. To ascribe to the Lord the glory that is due his name. 

King David had a long list of responsibilities as he ruled over Israel, but he knew that nothing was of higher priority than ministering to the name, particularly ministering to the manifest presence of God. 

When he summoned the people to worship, he directed them to focus on the single target of true worship--to focus on the name.

Regardless of what other tasks and priorities you have today, choose your highest calling. Give priority to the name, to ministering to the name.

Father God, I choose your name as my highest calling--to minister to your name and to your manifesting presence. I ascribe to you the glory that is due your name.
