Deliverer

October 25, 2026

"He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence." Psalm 91:3

When your foot gets caught in a trap, or when you're chronically battling a particular temptation, there's a particular name of God that is designed to give you breakthrough victory--Deliverer.

God did not create anyone to be their own deliverer. It's above our pay grade. God designed every one of us to require deliverance from outside ourselves.

It's not just the perverts, demoniacs, and misfits who require deliverance--it's everyone. Even you and me and the guy next door.

When evil forces of darkness come against you, and against those you love, when you feel overwhelmed by temptation to habitual sin, or when your foot is caught in a trap, call on Jesus. He is your Deliverer.

Father God, I humble myself, and admit that I have good intentions, but I often fail to resist evil. I am weak and desperately need help. Today I take Jesus as Deliverer. Set me free now from the power of sin and darkness. Break my sin addiction and deliver me in Jesus name.
