"God bless College of Prayer for the vision given that has helped us to transform our individual life. We are grateful for the materials, the teams who have visited, and enabling us to go forward into next steps...The [College of Prayer has] empowered participants to preach the good news of Jesus Christ around them ... In the coming four years, if God helps us, we plan to see this doubled in all EKHC areas, and influence beyond EKHC in other Evangelical churches."

In January 2017 the College of Prayer International began an official partnership with the Ethiopian Kale Heywat Church (EKHC), the largest Evangelical denomination in Ethiopia. EKHC has over 9,000 churches and 9,000,000+ members. Throughout 2017, College of Prayer Campuses, called Prayer Centers in Ethiopia, have launched all across the country. There are now over 5,000 Prayer Centers utilizing the College of Prayer curriculum and mentoring, training, and equipping thousands of church leaders. One of our primary leaders in Ethiopia overseeing our work there recently wrote us:
We have officially launched the College of Prayer in our 48th country--Ethiopia! We talk often in our ministry about having opportunity to impact whole nations. That cannot be overstated as it pertains to Ethiopia. We literally have before us an opportunity to mentor, train, and equip almost 10% of the population. There are roughly 99 million Ethiopians, and over 9 million of them are part of the Ethiopian Kale Heywet Church, the denominational movement that has asked us to serve them. We also had another unexpected opportunity come to us while we were there. EKHC leaders asked us to come minister to a group of 100 Christian parliament leaders. So, Fred Hartley went while Jon Mitchell continued teaching our module. About 75 parliament leaders showed up and after Fred spent some time ministering to them, they voted unanimously and eagerly to have their own College of Prayer campus for parliament leaders which will launch in June 2017. Talk about discipling a nation! The EKHC also has over 140 Bible Colleges and 10 Seminaries. Over time they want the College of Prayer taught at each location along with establishing Regional Campuses in 10 zones and 9,000 Local Church Campuses throughout the country. It's quite overwhelming. Thank you so much for your prayers. God is responding!
This month begins the launch of a strategic initiative to launch hundreds of campuses across the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our regional leaders, Willy Muyabwa and Kitunda Kisose, need our support financially and in prayer. We have a growing need to publish our three year curriculum and help scholarship pastors who would otherwise not be able to come. Will you join with us?
We give all the glory to God for the impact of the College of Prayer in Swaziland. The recent launch of a new campus there had a good representation from various denominations. We thank the Lord for their involvement and support of the College of Prayer. Pastor Lewis Chomba, the President of the main campus in Swaziland, wrote “From this strategic [gathering], two more Servant Leadership Teams were selected in response to the call from leaders who attended. So, we are expecting an explosion in Swaziland.” By February we will have three campuses in Swaziland. This is the result of the leadership summit held in Nairobi, Kenya last Fall. Pray for Pastor Lewis Chomba, that God would grant him wisdom and strength as he promotes the values and vision of the College of Prayer in Swaziland. Pray for his protection and revelation as he trains new leaders who will reach different regions of Swaziland.
The following is a recent report from Rev. Willy Muyabwa, Regional Director for Central, East & South Africa:
Our dream has come true. We now have two campuses made up by youth from different denominations in Niamey. "IMPACT" Campus and "YOUTH FOR THE KINGDOM" Campus. God is good. I am so grateful for the support I am receiving from the College of Prayer Servant Leadership Team in Niger and the way they have caught the vision. God is moving through the College of Prayer and the way of revival is being paved. Praise God!
In April 2015, Regional Director Rev. Willy Muyabwa relaunched the ministry of the College of Prayer in Uganda. We are so excited about the opportunities to mentor, train and equip Christian leaders and pastors throughout this great nation. As, you'll see in the video, they're pretty excited too!
