    Update From Mexico

The following report is from Rev. Luis Calderon, Regional Director for Latin America.

From the October 29-31 I was able to return to Guadalajara and teach the second module of the first year of our curriculum, "Lord, Teach Us to Pray!" Once again the Lord exchanged our ashes for His glory, our mourning for His oil of joy, and our anguished spirits for His mantle of joy. One of the sisters there gave her testimony of having been delivered of her mourning that had lasted for more than 30 years when her baby died. Another brother told us about the spiritual stronghold of fear that the enemy had placed in his mind. His grandfather and father had both died young, and this young man lived with fear that he also would die young. It was also glorious to see once again how the Lord renewed strength and healed wounds while ministering to pastors, their spouses, and other church leaders.

We were also able to establish a new Regional Campus in Mexico City, November 2-3, with participation from local pastors, church leaders, and missionaries from 3 denominations, representing at least 9 congregations. The most beautiful thing for me was to see 7 College of Prayer  facilitators, who had been trained in our Advanced Leadership Training back in May, teach and minister in 4 of the 6 lessons during the two day Module. Praise God for the way He reproduces spiritual fruit!

    Three Years in Honduras

The following report is from Rev. Luis Calderon, Regional Director for Latin America.

From September 4-10 I had the enormous blessing of ministering to those of my nation, Honduras. Once again the Lord manifested His beautiful presence before a group of 120 pastors and church leaders who represented 20 congregations. Twelve of these churches have already launched College of Prayer campuses, and 8 of them expressed their desire to begin them in the coming months. I thank the Lord for giving me the privilege of completing the 3 years of our College of Prayer training there. It has been a great blessing to have visited my country for three years and to see how God has built and strengthened His church through the College of Prayer.

    Luis Calderon
We are grateful and excited to announce that Rev. Luis Calderon has accepted an offer to become our Regional Director for Latin America. Luis and his wife Ximena have been a growing part of our ministry for the last two years. It is evident that God's favor and anointing is on them. Throughout the last two years, our ministry among Spanish-speaking countries and people groups has exploded. Luis has been a critical part of launching the College of Prayer in Honduras, Cuba, Ecuador, and other areas. In his role as Regional Director for Latin America, Luis will oversee campus development in the Caribbean, Central America, South America, Mexico, and among Spanish-speaking groups in the U.S. and Canada.

A Honduras native, Luis, graduated from the Pastoral Ministries program at Seminario Bíblico Alianza in 1988. For close to three decades, Luis has served as a Pastor in New York, Florida, and in other states along the east coast. He's had oversight for christian education, discipleship, young adults, pastoral care, and missions ministries. He enjoys teaching and helping pastors to develop their vision for the local church. Luis is passionate about mentoring, training, and equipping pastors and leaders to revive the church.

If you plan to catch Luis outside of his ministry with the College of Prayer, count on finding him fishing at the closest beach or watching a soccer game at home with his wife Ximena. He deeply loves his children, Gabriela and Josue, and his grandchild, Joel.

To reach Luis, please email him at luiscalderon@collegeofprayer.org or call him at (407) 766-3437.

    Honduras Update

    12/14/2015

Since our launch into Honduras last June the College of Prayer continues to grow rabidly. In fact, we now have 29 Local Church Campuses and we believe in the next 36 months another 30 will launch. For two days towards the beginning of December, Don Young, Pioneer Director, met with 141 pastors from 4 denominations in the mountains of Honduras. We trained them in the Advanced Leadership Training (ALT) and they all received certificates to start campuses throughout Honduras.

During the two days we saw a number of miracles. A woman with terrible arthritis could not move her fingers, but God moved during a worship time. No one touched her, no one laid hands on her ... the Holy Spirit just came on her and she was healed. She gave testimony and showed Don her hands. Another person attending had never understood prayer in such a way as it was being presented at the ALT. For 22 years she prayed, but she had never heard teaching on the Lord's Prayer Pattern. It totally changed her life. She was dancing and shouting and thanking God. She said, "Today I felt His manifest presence!"

    Honduras launch

In June we launched into our newest country, Honduras! It was an experience that we will not soon forget. It was amazing to see more than 290 pastors and intercessors hungry for the presence of God. They were ready and wanted to know when they could start more College of Prayer campuses all over Honduras and Central America.

Rev. Gilberto Reyes is the Regional Director for Central America for the Four Square Church. After the first evening of being at the module, he said, "We [Foursquare Church] have the structure, we have the staff, we have the people. What I discovered tonight in the teaching is that we need, more than anything, THE FIRE OF GOD IN OUR CHURCH!" He was so impacted by the message on the Manifest Presence of God that he wants 1000 copies of Fred Hartley's newest book, Church on Fire. Rev. Reyes also added, "I have invited my best leaders and intercessors here to learn how to start campuses all over the country. We do not want to wait, we came to start now!"

Later this year, December 7-11, Fred Hartley and Don Young will return to do two Advanced Leadership Training's that will certify leaders from Honduras to plant new campuses of the College of Prayer as well as leaders from other parts of Central America. This will open all of Central America to the mentoring, training and equipping of the College of Prayer.
    .
Pray with us, that by the end of 2016 we will have campuses in El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Belize, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama!
