Update from New York Campus
The following is a recent report from Rev. Mike Plunket regarding the October 14-16, 2010 gathering of the College of Prayer in New City, NY.The New York College of Prayer was an amazing encounter with the Lord. First, we had more people attend than ever before. Over 125 registered for the weekend together. We had two nights that were open to the community, and we had at least 150 people gathered. Through the teaching on emotional healing people got in touch with the lies and strongholds in their lives, and by Friday night we experienced such a visitation from the Lord that emotional healing was taking place in individuals, in marriages, and even in church groups that had come together. We had twelve people at 6 prayer stations, and the lines for prayer lasted all evening. We had so many coming for prayer for themselves and their families that we had to enlist even more people for prayer stations. Emotional healing also resulted in numerous physical healings as the Lord touched damaged hearts and damaged bodies.
We followed our College of Prayer model: high worship, deep repentance, forgiveness and freedom, and empowerment for ministry. Each time we gathered for worship there was an immediate sense of the manifest presence of the Lord. Thursday night through Friday night there was deep spiritual surgery performed, as the spirit of repentance and personal brokenness characterized every session. By Friday night there were so many breakthroughs. People were profoundly experiencing the freedom and forgiveness of the Lord in their lives. It was beautiful to see the radiance of the Lord in the eyes of his healed children. Each of our GAP [Growth, Accountability and Prayer] group sessions were effective times of process and sharing. Saturday morning we experienced such a wonderful filling of the Holy Spirit, and the people received a powerful vision of the Lord that resulted in empowerment for the battles facing them as they returned home. For me it was the most powerful last day of the College of Prayer that I have ever experienced. The testimonies of healings and restoration were so powerful, and we have continued to hear reports of impact in the churches and families represented. Praise the Lord.
